This is the final project of Wei YU, 5th year student at École Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs du Mans. This project aims at defining a method to evaluate the relationship between the sound quality of concert halls and some acoustical parameters that can be measured.

Acoustical measures and live music ambisonic recordings have been performed in 4 concert halls dedicated to chamber music. Musicians from the Chamber Orchestra of Toulouse played a series of musical excerpts in these 4 venues in order to collect stimuli for a listening test in PETRA laboratory.
