PETRA is happy to indicate that Virginia Woisard, researcher and pathologist in the University Hospital of Toulouse, has just received a positive answer to a project proposed within the framework of the call for tenders " Free Projects of research in Human and social Sciences, Epidemiology and Public health " with this title: "C2SI: Carcinologic Speech Severity Index: a Speech disorders Severity Index to measure the impact of oral and pharyngeal cavity on speech production".

Last advances in the development of an electronic device for measuring speech comprehension (equipment for hearing aid specialists)

In order to create an intelligent electronic equipment able to measure speech comprehension, a first step consists in the definition of the human perceptive and cognitive behaviours that the system will reproduce. This step is now completed. It led us to elaborate a complex protocol for the assessment of speech intelligibility and comprehension in humans, which results — both in quiet and noisy environments — will serve this project as reference data. Call of project ANR Corpus - CIESS Project

We have just selected for the project financing CIESS. This project was submitted by the Interdisciplinary Unit Research Octogone using PETRA (leader) in response to a call for projects ANR "corpus". Our partners are the team SAMOVA from IRIT Lab and the young private partner AudioGaming, from Toulouse.
